Eligibility Criteria
1. Professional Leadership

2. Academic Distinction
- Strong research credentials, publications, patents, or funded projects.
- Notable contributions in teaching, mentoring, and academic innovation.
3. Innovation & Knowledge Contribution
- Pioneering innovations, technologies, theories, or methodologies.
- Contributions to emerging and interdisciplinary fields.
4. Global Community Impact
- Participation in international scientific or engineering collaborations.
- Work with strong societal, industrial, or global scientific influence.

Nomination & Selection Process
1. Application Submission
Applicants may nominate themselves or be nominated by an existing Fellow or senior professional. Each applicant must provide the details of one referee from:
- An existing Fellow of The IOES
- A senior academic professional
- A Director, Dean, Vice-Chancellor, or senior industry leader
- A Fellow of another recognized international organization
A formal reference letter is required.
2. Preliminary Review
All applications are checked for completeness and compliance with eligibility norms.
3. Expert Evaluation
A panel of distinguished experts reviews the candidate's contributions, leadership, research, and overall impact. The assessment is detailed and merit-based.
4. Final Approval
The Governing Council of The IOES makes the final decision based on the review committee's recommendations. Only individuals who meet the highest standards of excellence are awarded the title.
Distinguished Fellow of The IOES (By Invitation)
The Distinguished Fellow honour is reserved for global leaders with exceptional, long-term contributions in engineering, science, technology, or industrial innovation. It is awarded only by invitation.
Eligibility
- Typically 15+ years of impactful professional experience.
- Influential contributions at national or international levels.
- Leadership that has shaped systems, policies, or major developments.
In extraordinary cases, experience requirements may be relaxed for individuals with exceptional achievements. Eligible professionals may share their CV at contact@theioes.org.
